The AGITOS Foundation has several internship opportunities



The AGITOS Foundation is the leading global organisation developing sport activities for people with an impairment as a tool for changing lives and contributing to an inclusive society. It is offering internships for three of its projects with flexible starting dates in 2015.

The AGITOS Foundation offers internships in these projects:

Road to Rio2016
Leading up to the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, the AGITOS Foundation and the Rio2016 organising committee will host a series of workshops in Brazil on the topics of coaching, classification and sport management:
  • The aim of the project is ensure athletes and National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) are prepared to perform in Rio2016
  • You will support the application process and content development, manage the logistical aspects of the workshop, and liaise with NPCs and project partners in cooperation with your supervisor
  • Additional requirements are basic experience in project management and proficient written and spoken Spanish
  • Start/End: Flexible start in 2015 (duration: 6 months preferable)

Paralympic Awareness Toolbox
The Paralympic School Day (PSD) is a key education tool used to promote the Paralympic Movement in primary and secondary schools worldwide:
  • The aim of the project is to revise the existing PSD materials, and produce a flexible toolkit of school-based materials for NPCs to translate, adapt and use in their local context.
  • You will analyse existing PSD materials, define a standard kit, and manage the development of new education tools (including content and design) and liaise with NPCs and other partners.
  • Additional requirements are working experience in physical education or grassroots sport programmes for/including children and youth with impairments. Academic study in Adapted Physical Education is an asset
  • Start/End: Flexible start in 2015 (duration: 3-6 months)

It’s All About Abilities
The Paralympic Movement is a platform for people with impairments to showcase their abilities through sport. Paralympic athletes are pushing the limits of possibility through their elite sporting performances every day. The IPC has a long standing relationship with the United Nations and actively promotes the UN Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities through its work and partners
  • The aim of this project is to review the key policy aims, networking platforms, and resource synergies of identified UN entities and other intergovernmental bodies, and support to formulate the development of synergies and a wider action plan
  • You will research and analyse existing policies, event schedules and fund streams, communicate with project partners, and support the development of an action plan and key messages for the AGITOS Foundation/IPC
  • Additional requirements: Knowledge and experience working with intergovernmental agencies. Academic study in policy and/or international relations is an asset
  • Start/end: Flexible start in 2015 (duration: 3 months)
