Coaching for Hope is seeking a consultant to be based in Ivory Coast



Coaching for Hope (CfH) is setting up a young leaders programme in Ivory Coast using football as the primary driver. A pilot scheme training session is planned for 20 young leaders by March 2015. Now CfH is seeking a consultant for the programme. Application deadline: 7 November

Main tasks
  • Make contact with relevant local NGOs, ministries and other agencies
  • Recruit the first 20 candidates for the programme
  • Run an initial one-day introduction to coaching session
  • Organise collection of baseline data
  • Set in place a selection process for a local coordinator
  • Find a local partner with whom CfH could share an office

Terms

For a two month consultancy, CfH will pay €3000 plus accommodation, insurance and flights. In-country travel costs and other essential project costs will be covered.

The ideal candidate
  • Is fluent in French and English
  • Has coaching experience
  • Has youth development experience
  • Has an understanding of the sport for development sector
  • Is flexible, adaptable and creative
  • Is able to work to a brief with minimal supervision
  • Has an understanding of how to capture baseline data and monitor impact

Event volunteering opportunities are now available at StreetGames



StreetGames, a UK-based sports charity changes lives and communities. It supports a network of projects which give sports and volunteering opportunities to young people in disadvantaged communities across the UK. Now it is seeking volunteers for several sports events throughout the UK.

The co-operative StreetGames Young Volunteers programme is recruiting volunteers to help carry out different sports events throughout the UK, for example the Great Scotish Run and the Bupa Great South Run.

Interested applicants have to fill in the "event volunteer expression of interest form" that can be found in the Downloads section, and send it to Sarea Younis by email.
