Women SportsNet offers people across the world the chance to help shape the reporting of women in sport by joining the TwingX Net.
TwingNET is a free WomenSports’ Social media-based newsfeed network. An international alliance of WomenSports channels providing 24hr live updates on WomenSport & SportsWomen. TwingNET draws on a range of news sources and 'curates' in real time into a 'Social Wall' (#WonderWall) which publishes news stories, pictures, Twitter @handles and reports – all in a compact & consentient 'newsletter' type format. We tune this 'harvesting tool' for our affiliates and associates world-wide to help them research reports and stories.
Join the world-wide alliance in time for Rio 2016!
We're now setting up a world-wide alliance of affiliates/associates - working with other WomenSports reporting channels around the world. If you 'tweet' about women's sport and would like to share your tweets to a wider audience, why not join the TwingNET network?
As an ‘associate’ we will give you free access to our sports reporting channels so you can share your tweets. As an 'affiliate' you're probably running your own county-based channel so you can share your tweets and we can help you grow your channel as part of a world-wide network.
We're currently developing 'partner-channels' in the following regions: Africa, Asia, Australia, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, Serbia, Wales, USA, but please make contact even if you're jurisdiction isn't there.
We're working really hard to build 'TwingNET' channels in the lead up to Rio 2016 and build a world-wide network in time for the start of the games next August. We’re setting up multiple channels to 'Multiplex' results, pictures, feedback and comment on women's events world-wide using social media, twitter and #WonderWall. In addition to raising the profile and aspirations of the performers and their countries, TwingNET will empower local communities in each jurisdiction to publish local sports stories.
To get involved in the TwingNET alliance emailpaul.r@wsnet.co.uk with a list of any Twitter sports news channels that you currently tweet on - and we will help you promote your channel (and women's sport) and help you build followers worldwide.
